Our Country Clubs & Communities series has taken us from the historic clubs of Highlands to the distinctive golf and lifestyle communities of Cashiers. This month, we head to Glenville, where mountain living takes on a different character along the shores of Lake Glenville.
As the highest elevation lake east of the Mississippi River, Lake Glenville has long been a favorite destination for boating, fishing, and summer recreation. At the heart of this lifestyle is Trillium Links & Lake Club, a private club community that brings together golf, lake recreation, dining, wellness, and an active social life.
Lake Glenville
Surrounded by forested mountains and scenic shoreline, Lake Glenville offers a distinctly different way to experience life on the Highlands Cashiers Plateau. The lake is the centerpiece of the Glenville community and provides a beautiful setting for both waterfront and mountain living.
During the summer months, days on Lake Glenville are spent boating, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and enjoying time on the water with family and friends. Homes throughout the area range from lakefront properties with private docks to mountain residences overlooking the water and surrounding peaks.
Glenville also offers convenient access to Cashiers and the restaurants, shops, clubs, and outdoor experiences found throughout the Plateau, while maintaining the quieter atmosphere and connection to nature that have long defined the area.
Trillium Links & Lake Club

Located in Glenville, Trillium Links & Lake Club is a 750 acre private club community offering long range mountain and water views along with an extensive collection of recreational and social amenities. Trillium includes the Links, Village, and Ridge communities, providing a variety of settings for mountain living.
Golf is an important part of life at Trillium. The club features an 18 hole championship golf course set within the mountain landscape, allowing members to enjoy the game surrounded by the natural beauty of the Plateau.
What particularly distinguishes Trillium is its connection to Lake Glenville. The club has its own waterfront property on the lake with private boat docks and boat and equipment rentals, making time on the water an integral part of the member experience. A morning on the golf course can easily be followed by an afternoon boating or paddling on Lake Glenville.
Beyond golf and the lake, members enjoy two outdoor and three indoor clay composite tennis courts, a full service spa, gym, and family activities. Together, these amenities create opportunities to be as active or relaxed as the day allows.

The New Landings at Trillium
Adding to the lake lifestyle at Trillium is the new Landings, currently under construction along the shores of Lake Glenville and expected to be completed soon. The new lakefront venue will provide another gathering place for members while further strengthening the connection between club life and the water.
With its setting directly on Lake Glenville, The Landings will complement Trillium’s Clubhouse and add a new chapter to the club’s dining and social experience. We look forward to seeing this exciting addition come to life.

Mountain Living on the Water
Glenville offers something unique within the Highlands Cashiers Plateau. Here, the mountain lifestyle extends directly to the water, with Lake Glenville providing a setting for summer days spent boating, fishing, paddling, and gathering with family and friends.
At Trillium Links & Lake Club, that connection to the lake is complemented by golf, dining, wellness, and recreation, offering members the opportunity to experience many different sides of life on the Plateau within one community.
Next month, our Country Clubs & Communities series comes to a close as we travel to Lake Toxaway and Burlingame for a final look at the clubs, communities, and lifestyles that make the Highlands Cashiers Plateau such a special place to call home.
